Most subscription training apps use algorithms to control your training. You can't bring your own plan. You can't adjust recovery. And when the algorithm pushes too hard, you get injured.
A runner reported an injury to a popular subscription training app and asked for a recovery plan. The first session it prescribed: 12×400m repeats at race pace. LaceUp was built because that should never happen to another runner.
Apple Watch has the technology to guide you through structured workouts with pace and heart rate targets. The only missing piece was a way to get your plan onto your watch. That's all LaceUp does.
Every workout appears on the right day in the native Workout app. Tap to start, with guided pace and HR targets on your wrist.
Import a plan from your coach as JSON, or build one in-app. AI plan generator available for race-specific periodization.
Set your threshold pace and max HR once. Every workout gets the right zone targets — warmup through cooldown.
Compliance rate, streak counter, weekly volume chart. See planned vs actual km. Know exactly where you stand.
Monitors your HRV and resting heart rate. If your body shows overreaching signals, LaceUp suggests backing off. You decide.
Track km across multiple pairs. Assign shoes to specific workouts. Get warned before they wear out.
Every workout added to your iCloud calendar. See your training week on iPhone, Mac, and Watch face.
Today's workout on your watch face the moment you glance at your wrist. Circular, rectangular, inline, and corner slots supported.
No account. No cloud. No tracking. All data stays on your iPhone. Export or delete everything anytime.
Build in-app, import JSON from a coach, or let AI generate one for your race.
One tap. Every workout lands on the right day on your Apple Watch.
The workout's on your wrist. Pace targets, HR zones, intervals — all guided.
Watch how LaceUp turns a training plan into a guided workout on your Apple Watch.
LaceUp reads your HRV and resting heart rate from Apple Watch. When your recovery metrics indicate overreaching — HRV dropping, resting HR rising — the app surfaces a suggestion. Not a command. You decide what to do with the information.
Your HRV is down 18% vs last week. Your resting heart rate is up 6 bpm. Consider an extra rest day or swap tomorrow's tempo for an easy run.
This is a suggestion based on your biometrics, not a training decision. You know your body best.
No ads. No tracking. No data selling. Ever.
LaceUp was built by a runner who got injured following an algorithmically generated marathon plan. The plan pushed too hard during peak training — 70km weeks with a 35km long run — and the IT band gave out.
During recovery, every alternative was evaluated: Intervals.icu (Garmin-first), WorkOutDoors (no plan import), Apple's built-in workout builder (no scheduling). Nothing solved the core problem: getting a structured plan onto an Apple Watch without subscribing to an algorithm.
So LaceUp was built. Not as a business plan. As a fix. It turned out other runners wanted the same thing.
Your plan. Your pace. Your watch.
LaceUp is launching on the App Store soon. Drop your email and we'll let you know the moment it's live.
